Hello Trailblazers!
We hit US$ 50K! As promised, we'll add an extra US$ 10 credit onto your personal survey, which we will send once this campaign is over. In this survey, you will be able to use this credit to choose your favorite graphic or use it to get more items with that extra discount. Hint: we're not only selling t-shirts!
Two weeks ago, we gave you a glimpse of who we are as a company, with our mission:
To provide practical, responsible goods to everyday people in a free-thinking environment with a curious, down-to-earth voice. Helping them feel empowered and enabled for adventure.
This week, we would like to share the 3 core philosophy that has been the North Star for us, guiding us in a direction that is in line with our companyâs mission. We simply call it the 3Ps:
Planet, People, and Product. đđ§âđ¤âđ§đ
We consider âPlanetâ, to be our most important âPâ, followed by âPeopleâ, and lastly âProductâ. In order to make the best products, we believe we must first understand our Planet, and connect with the People who live in it. Without addressing the problem we are all experiencing on Earth, there wonât be much of a playground for us and future generations to play in! If you havenât already guessed, itâs Pollution - we could all do with less of this P!
One of the main problems we addressed over the past year was the packaging. Who else can relate to the times where one would buy something online and receive a big box filled with unnecessary plastic?
We are very proud that our new packaging system is 100% biodegradable, recyclable, compostable, water-soluble, marine safe...you get the point. It is maybe one of the most eco-friendly packagings on Earth. You can find more information about our packaging in our campaign, at the bottom of the page. âťď¸
Another sustainable initiatives we made was the development of our Traveler fabric.
When we set out to create our version of the best t-shirt to wear for traveling, we envisioned something that we could wear comfortably all day long, packed with features capable of handling all the activities we love doing: from city exploring, to trekking over mountain passes, and all those long journeys in between, commuting to stunning and secluded places! We also wanted the tee to be as natural as possible and chose 100% natural fibers that are sustainably and ethically sourced, with no added performance finish.
Out of all the natural fibers in the world, in our humble opinion, there is only one material that is capable of meeting our requirements. It has been around for centuries and is a staple fiber well known for its natural performance, and most importantly, for its ultra-soft premium hand feel - Merino Wool.Â
What makes our Merino Wool special and different from the flock (pun intended) is how the sheep are treated at ZQ Growerâs farms across Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand.Â
We have been working with ZQ Merino, the worldâs leading ethical wool company in New Zealand, to source the best ethical and sustainable Merino Wool to be used in our Traveler Tee. It was clear from the beginning that their values for a better and more compassionate planet and animal welfare aligned with ours. Happy sheep and high-quality Merino wool meant it was a no brainer to partner with them!

Another unique fiber in our Traveler fabric is TencelŽ - a cooling Eucalyptus fiber known for its silky-soft hand feel, backed by a range of features that are perfect for when you are on the road. The fiber production is described as a closed-loop process because more than 99% of the solvent is recovered, purified, and reused, yielding very little by-product and leading to less land and water usage. In addition, the Eucalyptus trees are grown on sustainably run farms certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), making TencelŽ one of the most sustainably sourced natural fibers today.
You can find more information about TencelÂŽ here:

Â
When we set out to blend 70% ZQ Merino Wool (Ultra-fine grade) with 30% TencelÂŽ in our Traveler fabric, we knew it would be our comfiest tee yet, but we didn't foresee it being so cozy and comfortable that we would end up sleeping in them too. Thankfully, Merino Wool and TencelÂŽ are also two of the best anti-microbial fibers in the world!
We'll be diving into our 2nd P - 'People' (aka, our backers!) next week, so stay tuned!Â
Thank you for all your support so far, especially during these difficult times. I hope everyone is keeping healthy and well!
Carson & team.
